What can I expect?

In total, a The Fountain Sunday morning service is about 60-90 minutes in length. Services begin with a welcome from a pastor or a staff member, followed by the the worship team leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto a screen so that you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. During one of the songs, we allow our members to give towards our church and the mission work we support around the globe. As a guest, please do not feel obligated to contribute. After the music portion of the service is complete, we will serve a small cup of juice and a piece of broken cracker to any Christian who desires to join us in remembering the death of Jesus in this special way. Then, our pastor (or another speaker) will explain a Bible passage in its original context and identify lessons from the text that we can apply to our lives today. The Scripture passage used will be projected on the screen in the New American Standard Bible translation, and there are copies of the same translation in book racks on the back of seats.

What's the culture like at First Christian Church?

Sundays at The Fountain are warm, inviting and encouraging. You will find people present from multiple backgrounds and age groups. Average dress ranges from very casual and relaxed, to full suits. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

What about my CHildren?

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week — and we make this a priority. The youngest children, up to age 4, can be checked in at our nursery. Older kids, aged 4-10, are invited to stay in service for worship and are encouraged to come forward for a special children's moment. After the children's moment, they are released to "Jesus Street," our special children's church directed by Children's Minister, Heather Ritter. Our kids ministry is optional, with the intent that both parent and kid learn in the best environment for them. Want to keep your kids with you in service? that's fine with us too.
